As part of our role as Citizen Curators we'll be helping to curate the Cornish National Collection, an initiative with a mission to collaboratively curate a collection of objects across Cornwall's museums that reflects the diversity of Cornish society past and present.
You can read our full brief here: https://www.cornwallmuseumspartnership.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cornish-National-Collection-Brief-2019.pdf
We'll be examining the objects within our own museums to uncover new and undiscovered stories and then suggesting potential inclusions based on this analysis.

Objects can come from all areas including:
- ancient
- military
- scientific
- social
- natural
- industrial
- artistic
- heritage
and they'll each open up stories about Cornwall's cultural heritage, identities and impact on the world to new audiences.
In 2014 the UK government recognised the Cornish as a protected national minority and the National Collection is one way of celebrating the significance and uniqueness of Cornish history, culture, identity and language.
